Get to know me and some fun facts about me.
Hello!!! I’m Lauren.
Here are some fun facts about me are:
- I’m born and raised in Washington State and just this year my family moved to a small town in Oregon. Presently, I live with my two sisters and my parents. We share our home with our three cats (Minnie, Cece and Mr. Gibbs) and our dog, Tundra.
- I’m 29, and the second oldest in my family. During this current season of my life, I’m working toward my dream of moving to the East Coast. Exploring all the historical sites, and tasting incredible New England food. Painting watercolor while soaking in the natural beauty truly sounds amazing!!!
- I’m passionate about having the time and capacity to enjoy life. Learning about minimalism several years ago, I haven’t looked back. Today, I’ve found a delightful balance between required everyday life, and incorporating space. These days, my joy is found in being still, crafting, and spending time with people and animals. Also nature.
Other Hobbies of Mine:
- Drinking coffee, reading, playing piano, and learning french. Great podcasts have been so fun to discover along with creating bucket lists while I pin on Pinterest.
- I love to travel and recently traveled art retreats in Kansas, as well as going to Canada for the first time. My parents and I recently visited a tv set for the show When Calls the Heart. While I was there, I was able to meet one of my favorite authors, Janette Oke!!! Two Christmas’s ago, my sister, Maria, and I traveled to Chicago and while there attended an event called Romadrama. Romadrama hosts events where you can meet Hallmark movie stars. We attended the red carpet premiere of one of the new Hallmark Films.
- I’m a major foodie and love trying all sorts of new recipes. While I try to eat healthy, I also love ice cream. 😉
- Some favorite movies/tv: vintage movie classics and musicals. Old Disney and tv reruns including I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, etc. as well as Hallmark channel movies and mysteries.
- I enjoy art and love making my own. I have a crafting corner in my room where I can create and try new mediums and techniques. Take a tour here. Some of which include documenting my life via art journaling, Bible journaling, and painting. Two of my favorite small business are Illustrated Faith and The Reset Girl. Recently, I went to my first two Art Retreats with fellow creatives. It was amazing and I made a ton of wonderful friends at a rainbow house in Kansas. It was amazing!!!
